How to Wear Lariat Necklaces

Traditionally, lariat necklaces are long, loose and free flowing necklaces that can be worn to adorn your neck. These accessories are artistic and interesting, especially because they are so many wearable options from which to choose. These are some of our favorites:

Traditional lasso style – Lariat necklaces are fantastic for making an impact. If statement necklaces aren’t your thing, lariats are a great alternative. Wear it like a lasso or a scarf. Simply pick the center point of the necklace, then place the loose end in the loop. Pull as tight as is comfortable, and you’re ready to go. This style works well for laid back looks with beaded necklaces. For more elegant looks, try wearing this style with the long part running down your back. Lariat necklaces are great at drawing attention to dresses and blouses that have an open back. It’s an unexpected and sexy way to show a little skin.

Choker style – Lariat necklaces can be worn so that they have a choker effect. Just wrap round your neck and tuck in the loose ends. You’ll be ready to go in no time. Plus, no fumbling with clasps or hooks. Wear a few of these necklaces together for even more impact. Mix and match and have fun with your choices.

Bracelet style – Lariat necklaces can easily be worn as statement bracelets. Just wrap round your wrist following the same instructions as above. You can even try one on each wrist.

Headband style – Necklaces don’t have to be limited to jewelry that you wear around your neck. Instead, be adventurous and try wearing them as headbands. This creates an ethereal look that is reminiscent of bohemian rhapsody and flower children.

Belt style – Wrap loosely around your waist and tie for a new twist on this great multi-functional necklace.
