Taking Care of Your Silver Jewelry by Cleaning It
Girls love to wear silver bracelets, rings, earrings and other silver items. You can clean your silver jewelry with the help of vinegar. It is a very safe method and very practical too, because vinegar is present in almost every home. First of all you have to mix two cups of white vinegar with salt, 2 table spoons in quantity. Then add half a cup of flour in it to make a paste. Now make a coat of this paste on our jewelry and leave it coated for about 30 minutes now dip the jewelry in the warm water to remove the paste and then dry and rub with towel to bring shine in it. Lemon juice can also be used in similar way to clean the silver jewelry instead of using vinegar.
Another method for cleaning the silver jewelry is with tooth paste. You need a white tooth paste which doesn’t contain gel and a tooth brush with soft bristles. You have to gently brush your jewelry in the same manner you brush your teeth and try to be very gentle while brushing and rinse in the end with warm water.
Another method which is most commonly used for cleaning the silver jewelry, specially the sterling silver jewelry is the baking soda method, in which you have to mix the baking soda with equal amount of salt and then dissolve both in water. Immerse your jewelry in the solution for half an hour and rinse it with cold water and dry it with a towel. You will definitely see satisfying results.
You can also use a mild detergent in order to remove dirt and other impurities on your jewelry. It is a very conventional method.
